ART MINI'S WORKSHOP

This “Mini-Masterpiece” workshop explores exciting new techniques in
quilting. You'll create your own designs, make your own patterns, learn to
embellish your piece, and much more. Techniques include "fussy cut",
fusible appliqué, machine quilting, and working with all the wonderful
embellishments available today. When you finish, you will have created an
original piece of quilt art that can be displayed on an easel or placed in a
frame.
Kit includes:
ü Batting & fabrics
ü Fusible web and interfacing
ü Freezer paper (for tracing templates)
ü Pattern ideas to get you started
ü A big box of “stuff” for embellishments.
Student to supply:
ü Fabric, particularly novelty prints of your liking (only
need small pieces)
ü Small amounts of laces, trims, novelty threads, etc. for
embellishing
ü Paper and pencil
ü Machine embroidery thread – (i.e., Rayon 40wt) in one or
more colors
ü Scissors or rotary cutters (straight or decorative edge)
ü Sewing machines and supporting supplies – open toe foot or
big foot for quilting
Please bring anything special you might want on your masterpieces.
