This “Mini-Masterpiece” workshop explores exciting new techniques in quilting. You'll create your own designs, make your own patterns, learn to embellish your piece, and much more. Techniques include "fussy cut", fusible appliqué, machine quilting, and working with all the wonderful embellishments available today. When you finish, you will have created an original piece of quilt art that can be displayed on an easel or placed in a frame.

Kit includes:

ü Batting & fabrics

ü Fusible web and interfacing

ü Freezer paper (for tracing templates)

ü Pattern ideas to get you started

ü A big box of “stuff” for embellishments.

Student to supply:

ü Fabric, particularly novelty prints of your liking (only need small pieces)

ü Small amounts of laces, trims, novelty threads, etc. for embellishing

ü Paper and pencil

ü Machine embroidery thread – (i.e., Rayon 40wt) in one or more colors

ü Scissors or rotary cutters (straight or decorative edge)

ü Sewing machines and supporting supplies – open toe foot or big foot for quilting

Please bring anything special you might want on your masterpieces.

Come and enjoy these playful and exciting new techniques in quilting,
